The College’s ANZAC Assembly was held in the Gymnasium, last week. Mr Tim Scully, a member of staff, was our ADF guest. Corporal Scully has served in the Australian Defence Force since 1979 – firstly as a Regular soldier in the Infantry (including time at the Special Air Service Regiment in Western Australia), and later as a Reservist in both the 1st Commando Regiment and the 1st Military Police Battalion – a role in which he is highly active to this day.

Cpl Scully led the Assembly, addressing the school and sharing anecdotes of his service and offering thoughts and reflections on the human costs of armed conflicts.  Music faculty member Ms Lauren Innes, played the Last Post and Reveille on her bugle – it was hauntingly beautiful and our students did themselves proud in standing silently for the Minute’s Silence.
